American Culture in College

There is a lot of diversity in American culture today and it is only growing from where it is now. I noticed that American culture is broken down into many subcultures and they form from groups of similar ethnicity and backgrounds, such as African-Americans boys from a "hood" background and white American boys from an athletic background, they seem to go with their own stream of style and culture, such as music, slang, dress style,  hobbies, ect., to form their own unique subcultures, what is known to most people as "cliques," such as preps, jockies, goths, skaters, stoners, ect. These "cliques" usually stay together and do not really get involved in things that does not involve their "clique" or something of their "cliques" interest.
