shops and gender

The other day my mother came home from shopping for clothes and she was very unhappy. to her. She came in and asked for an article of clothing in size extra-large. The woman said no we don’t sell clothing that big apparently in a very rude way like she thought less of her for being an XL. While keeping this in mind I started thinking about all the stores that I had shopped at and it occurred to me that at all the stores that sold clothes for men had sizes usually up to and exceeding 3x. This is an excellent way to demonstrate how our society forces us to look certain way according to our gender. There is a way that girls must look and men can look however he pleases.
