Healthcare Discrimination
The picture at the top is of a doctor's office located in a low income part of town, whereas the picture at the bottom is taken in a wealthier part of town. As illustrated by the stark contrast in quality of doctor offices, people of lower income are given lower quality healthcare. This placement of care facilities is an example of institutional discrimination, as the best doctor offices are located in the nicest parts of town, and the less respected offices are located in the areas where minorities and low income are likely to reside.
