There are many gyms in Russellville and each one targets a specific group for a specific reason.
St. Mary's Wellness Center: Not only does this gym have one of the most expensive membership fees, but it is also located very close to Skyline, one of the higher income neighborhoods in town. This gym attracts these people for all they have to offer such as fitness programs and classes both men and women, young and old.
Planet Fitness: This gym is the least expensive in town with a monthly fee of "just 10 bucks." As well as being inexpensive, this gym targets those who are not as physically fit. They advertise no gym intimidation and no commitment. So they're not only attracting those with lower income, but those who are not as physically active or less dedicated than other gym members in town.
Maxx Nutrition: This is the gym I attend, and actually work at. The fees are average, but we don't attract anyone based off gym fees. This gym attracts those more serious to working out such as bodybuilders and power lifters. Maxx attracts these people because of the more milder gyms in town such as PF and St. Mary's. This gym has very little rules as far as gym intimidation goes, which can affect those who attend. There are very few women, elderly, or younger (under 18) that are members.
Each gym in town attracts a specific group for their specific needs.
