In college life I have noticed that men and women differ in many ways, there are many patterns when it come to men and many patterns when it comes to women. I have noticed that men are less likely to decorate their dorm room to make it more homely, but that also might be what is comfortable for them. But, women, on the other hand, are more likely to put canvases on their wall or stringing lights around their rooms. This seems to be an ongoing pattern I have noticed, though it is not a definite, this still seems to be a typical pattern between the typical man and typical woman.  Men are more likely to keep is simple and do less decorating rather than making their room unique. Why is this? It is because decorating your room and putting things on the wall and synchronizing colors with their room mate is seen as more of a feminine thing rather than tough an manly which is what a majority of men want to be. Why is it more feminine? Because society has made it the social norm to be a woman's thing rather than a mans. This is an ongoing pattern I have observed throughout my first year of college.
