The Perry Poverty

In my community there is an incredible difference between the dress style and looks of a child of the Upper Middle Class and Upper Class, verses the Lower Middle Class, and families on the poverty line. The difference is not hard to find. We will call the kids of families in the Upper Middle Class and Upper Class Kid A. The kids with families in the Lower Middle Class and families on or in the poverty line Kid B. Around my community from Elementary School to High School the difference between Kid A and Kid B's outfits and looks of the child is very different. Kid A usually is wearing such as Abricombie and Finch, Polo, North Face, ETC. All of these are very expensive clothes, ranging from $25-130+. New Nike shoes that cost $60-$100, probably a Rolex watch, and the girls usually wear a lot of make-up and jewelry. Kid A also smells good, hair washed and groomed, and never dirty. Kid B is a different story. These kids wear hand me downs, or Old Navy. They usually wear shoes that have holes in them, or have to wait until they blow the shoes out completely. Most Kid B's have dirty faces, some of them don't match clothes very well, and their look is different as well. Most have dirty faces, and their clothes stained or dirty.
