Raising a pet/child

Some people consider that pets should be treated like members of their families. Conversely, others think that pets should be treated like animals they are as opposed to people, like with children or just other members of the family. The way I look at it is that both opinions have their pros and cons. I am persuaded to believe that pets should mean to us not just animals that live in our houses, but they should mean to us more. It all depends on if the pet is in or out doors. Lets just say we’re talking about a dog. If you choose to keep your dog inside the house, you instinctively will have full responsibility for that dog. If they need your warmth, then give it to them. If they need your attention, then give it to them. Dogs are emotional as well. At this point you become their parent. You can convert into somebody who can defend them and can be with them during their lives just as you would for your kid. There’s not so much alteration if your dog is kept outdoors. The dog still needs attention and love. I mean, they do say dogs are a man’s best friend.
