Arkansas Tech(nology) Students
Technology is a fast paced moving innovation that never ceases to amaze us. We are always finding new and improved methods and devices to enhance our lives. With the creation of the computer and internet there has been a major spike in this industry. Each and every day we are learning and creating new ideas that will shape the future. The debate that seems to appearing though is whether or not the technology we create is running our lives. As illustrated in both pictures, we (Arkansas Tech College Students in particular) depend on technology in most of our daily activities. Whether its research with friends or filling the time during a lunch break. Both are patterns that seem to exist everyday and that do not appear to be going anywhere anytime soon. I'm guilty of falling into the technological craze as well, but I have grown up with it in all aspects of my life. I never had a chance to decide whether I want to experience it. Other cultures across the world do not seem to have a choice either. The generation before them decides if they are or are not ready for the technology the world has to offer. If these pictures were taken again at the same social customs, researching with friends and eating lunch, but in a different culture, we would possibly have very different results. I just worry for the next generation for the technological decisions we make in this one.
